MS8346 is used in systems for dosing or mixing products by weight method. The input signal is formed by a bridge strain gauge sensor, which is powered by the device. The sensitivity and supply voltage of the sensor are hardware fixed and are set in the Order Code.

The analog output signal, which is galvanically isolated from the input signal, transmits the measured input value. The most commonly used is a unified format – 0 ÷ 20 mA DC; 4 ÷ 20 mA DC; 0 ÷ 10 V DC, which is also specified in the Order Code.

The controller has four galvanically isolated from the measuring part discrete inputs START, S1 and S2 and DUMP, designed respectively for starting the measurement, selecting preset set points with a set of parameters for dosing and starting dumping.

The controller has three discrete outputs, which are user-configurable.

Galvanically isolated from the other RS485 circuits, via MODBUS RTU communication, allows the controller to be connected to centralized monitoring and process control systems.
